Novo technology was heavily involved in the establishment of a Biometric Smartcard for the Government of The Republic of Trinidad and Tobago. This card was used by the Ministry of Social Development as a delivery method for disability and social welfare grants. The primary purpose of using this card is to eliminate fraud. The cards can be used at select merchants for the purchase of items covered by the grants.
